The next in the series to make you think about things up front. Each of you will answer differently and you will all be right, or maybe wrong. It isn’t a sure thing with definitive Yes/No answers. There are no rights and wrongs only something to consider and plan for.
The economic event we were expecting never happened. The government simply raided your savings and pensions while raising taxes. Benefits were stopped and slave labour camps were set up across the country for the unemployed. Nobody rebelled, nobody came to save us and we simply carried on as before moaning but doing nothing. The media started reporting about successes in economic activity and how well things were but you and everyone you knew were having a rough time. Electricity, gas, fuel and food are rationed and travel is restricted. Communications are also restricted, phones are back to operator calls and internet access is now only a few sites and so the only entertainment you have is the TV. There were a few pirate radio stations out there but they soon went off the air and any dissenting voices have long ago been silenced. You have heard that fellow preppers homes were raided and they have been arrested for hoarding.
You were not doing too bad though. Nobody had any spare money and everyone was on reduced rations but you still had your stores. This supplemented your food and allowed you to live at a higher standard than all but the elite.
The only problem is that you know that won’t last forever. You had put aside nearly two years worth of stores and you have only been in this situation for three months but you do not see the situation changing. The British spirit has been destroyed by the welfare state and you don’t see the elite giving up their position any time soon.
You have to make a new plan while you still can. What are you going to do?
There will always be a reble/resistance group and even though england is fairly built up there would still be woodland to hide and live in. We could plan raids and skirmishes so in all fairness i would take enough provision for me alone and leave a fair amount for my family and join the reististance or even start one. We certainly won’t be able to win but if word travels which it will we would raise moral of the general public and lower the army’s even if it is only for a short while. Another though would be that the army would slowly leave ranks and join us or start there own.
P.S We would use the weopons and food raided to survive as well as live of the land and would make sure i have no paper work and try to hide my identity as much as possible but you can’t be 100% sure. Another idea could be bring your family with you.
