How we need to prepare

The Files site is now On-Line

I have just opened the Survival UK Files site for your downloading pleasure.

It can be found at http://Files.SurvivalUK.net/

It has taken me a while to set up. Was too ambitious at the start and just didn’t have the time to make it as sophisticated as I started out. Then I realised that I was overcomplicating it and it just needed to be simple and have only two functions, one to browse the file structure, the second to download the files. This site is very simple to use, just point and click to navigate and then ‘right click’ to download your chosen file.

Have a browse and download whatever you wish.

I believe all the files are free from copyright but if you find any that are not let me know. Also let me know if you see any duplicated under different names or corrupt files. I can’t check them all. Finally, if you have any that could be added then contact me and I’ll upload them. We need to add as much as we can to this as it will be your encyclopaedia after an event.

Enjoy.

SD, it has become more obvious to me as the months have gone by, that in my physical condition, I am extremely limited in the ways in which I can approach a major event. My first and only aim, is to provide for my wife and my two granddaughters and it’s clear to me, that I can’t do that by going out and being ‘Robin Hood’, bringing home a deer or two every week!

It’s becoming much more apparent that the best way in which I can provide for them, while ‘bugging in’ in our little community, is for me to be the font of all knowledge, from medical best practice to defensive (and offensive,) tactics. Twenty-four years of service have provided me with some of these skills, as has an interest in the outdoors but your newly uploaded files can provide me with detail and references I had not dared hoped might be available.

Please be assured that I, and I’m sure many other members, are grateful for the hard graft you have put in to ‘gathering in’ this harvest of knowledge and we will make the fullest use of the files you are providing here, to build our own libraries, to see us through that which we all believe is coming, in one form or another.

My thanks also, for opening my eyes in the first place!

Very many thanks for all of your considerable efforts on the knowledge front.
I am sure this will be a regular calling place for a great number of like minded folks, and it can only be of benefit in the long run.

    GG,

We must not forget. This was not just me. John, NR, LS, Ken and a few others have been involved in this. It isn’t just a leech from resource it needs to have files added. I intend to add files from the main site, the forums and any other sources I can find. I can’t do that on my own and as usual it will be as good as WE can make it.

    IA,

I hope so. That is what it is for.

    Lee,

There is no list as such. Just access the files via the link and download.

Thank you SD for these files they are very useful. I will be contributing more material soon. At present, I’m busy having a big sort out of my files to see what I can contribute as well as more herbal information. You have achieved a great deal in the few years that you have been running the site. Well done. Many thanks, Ken Eames.
