Well, you plan for certain eventualities and you put aside supplies but fate has different plans. The son-in-law-to-be was rushed into hospital on Thursday in severe pain and after numerous scans, blood work and other tests the doctors still have no idea what it is.
My preps are pretty useless for this. Food, water, fuels, fire starting kit; None of it is required. I don’t need to hide out or start any actions at all and none of my comms plans are required. Everything we normally use is functioning just fine. Yet our lives are disrupted.
It is funny though having to react to a situation, by giving lifts, babysitting, basically reacting to requirements and. worse of all, paying extortionate hospital charging. That really is the pits stealing from those that have no options. I don’t pay myself but the women can’t be bothered with the extra 100 yard walk.
It means I have had no time for the site. Just got twenty minutes before I have to go out so thought I would let you know. Anyone who has sent me an email over the last few days. I’ll be reading them tomorrow whilst the minature units are being programmed and get back to you then.
Fingers crossed they will find out what the problem is and he will be out soon.
Thinking of your family in your hour of need.
ALL of us on the forum that is of course ( silly me hitting send button before engaging brain)
I hope he is soon better.
It raises some horrible questions about how we will cope if/when society collapses. If they can’t find out what’s wrong with all the technology available now, then how will we manage with our limited resources? I guess we’ll just do the best we can but that best seems woefully inadequate at times.
We are all thinking of you and your family SD, i hope he recovers as fast as possible.
Somehow or other, words cannot convey what we wish to say. I am very sorry to hear this and wish him a speedy recovery. Blessings on you , him and the family. Kenneth Eames.
SD Sorry to hear your news, and hope it works our ok for the young man.
You’re right, this is a reminder that although we make thorough preparations, we cannot plan for everything. A degree of good luck is something we all need, but which we cannot cache for later use.
My best regards to you and your family at this challenging time.
