I’ve been thinking things over since the weekend and I’ve decided that the only way to go is to commit to expanding the site and adding more content. I’m going to do that in two stages over the next two months.
1 – I’m going to add a forum so we can discuss issues to resolution. This will also allow others to raise issues as well. I’m going to allow a guest option to begin with and see what the spam is like. Akismet handles the spam here fine so I’m guessing that a similar tool will run on the forum. I’ll revisit the guest posting if the assumption is incorrect.
2 – I’m going to add a wiki type system. This will be a repository of facts and conclusions from the forum that can be collected in one place and can be downloaded or stored offline for perusal at your leisure or even permanent storage.
So, this will give this site where I will raise things and you can respond. Moving to a forum for where we need to discuss options or fine detail and a wiki where the results are posted for reference.
This should give a more rounded approach, allow anyone who wants to participate the ability to do so and for those that just want to find out what to do a reference area where they can see the fruits of our collective minds.
As you know I’m a bit stretched at the moment. I’ll start on the forum next week and I would guess it will be ready in a week for testing. I’ll be looking for volunteers to moderate it then. Anyone interested in getting involved as a forum moderator? I still have a few volunteers from last time it was discussed and I’ll be contacting them but if you want to get involved now is your chance. Pay isn’t so good but you get to know you are helping others like yourself prepare and get involved in lively discussions. It should give a nice tingly feeling.
I am still up for helping mate!
