To all those that are or have served

Thank you for your sacrifice and service to our country in fighting for our freedoms in both War and Peace time. You have our respect and you will not be forgotten.

We sleep safe in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm. George Orwell (1903 – 1950)

Thank you for this SD, It has revived many memories. I had a cousin killed in action in Korea and awarded an MM posthumously and another cousin who won the VC in the first Worl War. He fortunately survived. I had two brothers and a sister served in the forces in the second WW., they fortunately all came home safely. Kenneth Eames.

Remembering my Grandad who grew up an orphan due to WW1, served in WW2 and died some years after WW2 when the shrapnel in his body entered his heart and all those who suffer and die so we don’t have to.
