How we need to prepare

Meet up weekend – 31-Mar-2012

I’m getting around to organising this now and I’ve had several emails from people asking very good questions so I need to clarify a few things.

What we know;

  • The venue will be near Chester. Venue TBC.
  • It will start late morning at the earliest and go on as long as we want. TBC.
  • There will not be food. However, there will be local fast food joints and I may bring a microwave and kettle if required.
  • I have five people who have confirmed they are going to be attending.
  • Don’t bring anything controversial

I’m happy to arrange this and find a suitable venue but I’m not sure on requirements. So for anyone that is interested I need to know the following.

  • Who will need a room for the night? I can supply details of local hotels.
  • Anyone considering camping or bringing a caravan?
  • What are you looking for food wise. Do we need to be near somewhere?
  • What facilities are you expecting?
  • Anybody disabled in any way?

I’ve looked at a hotel such as a Premier Inn and they are very expensive around here. So I’m looking at a room at a social club or a cafe and I’m currently negotiating with a couple of places.

Send me an email with your comments if you are interested and I’ll set up a secure forum thread so we can discuss.

Is this going to be one day or two? I live quite close to Chester (Warrington) and will defiantly attend at least one of the days. By “anything controversial” what do you mean?
    Please keep me informed.
    Your friend,
    Joe.

I’m looking at one long day rather than two.

By controversial I mean anything that can get us arrested in this mickey mouse country. Which translates to no weapons, no guns, crossbows, swords and no pointing fingers like a gun. The whingey whiney people don’t like it.

    Understood.
One day is fine. Being new to this, what happens at these meets?
    Thank you for your time,
    Joe.
