XMas time is here again

It’s coming up to XMas and as usual my mind, eventually, turns to buying XMas presents. Women of course have everything sorted by February but I’m still looking the last week before XMas day.

My problemis I never know what to buy. Too many things to choose from.

Now you would think that buying for a prepper would be easier. There is after all a restricted subset of what you would look at. No big electrical items or computer games but I can assure you that it isn’t that much easier although obviously you don’t buy everyday stuff like food, water, etc. you can buy something that they wouldn’t ordinarily buy or afford such as a water filter, a dehydrator or germinator. What if you are not that well off yourself, What can you buy?

I tend to go for the one thing that all preppers need, knowledge. You can’t go wrong there. Large pockets or small pockets there is always a book that suits and the variety is there to suit everyones needs from the beginning prepper to the more experienced prepper.

You can even chose something for non preppers with a prepping theme like ‘One Second After‘ and then use it to initiate a conversation to test your pals out.

I have a lot of books and they cover a wide variety of subjects that will be useful after an event and many are an interesting read now as well.

I was writing out my wish list last night. Amongst the girly stuff was a Berkfield Gravity Water filter, a flint firelighter, some prepper books and some new boots. Goodness knows what my mother will make of that lot. Will probably have to edit her version!
